نابغه

نابغه؛ چیزی یا کسی که توانایی ارایهٔ یک مقوله استثنایی در زمینهٔ توانمندیهای ذهنی، آفرینش(خلاقیت) و یا نوآوری در کارها را داشته باشد. این مقولهها معمولن در نوع خود بی نظیر یا کم نظیر نیز خواهند بود.[۱]
از مشهورترین افرادی که در «فرهنگ عامه» به این نام شناخته شدهاند، میتوان به آلبرت اینشتین، یوهان ولفگانگ گوته، لئوناردو داوینچی و استیون هاوکینگ[۲] و در شخصیتهای داستانی به شرلوک هلمز اشاره کرد.[نیازمند منبع]
معمولا فرد دارای ضریب هوشی بالای ۱۳۵ را نابغه محسوب میکنند.[نیازمند منبع]
