المپیک تابستانی ۱۸۹۶ (در انگلیسی: Games of the I Olympiad) که به طور رسمی با نام «بازی‌های المپیاد اول» شناخته می‌شود، از ۶ آوریل تا ۱۵ سپتامبر ۱۸۹۶ میلادی در شهر آتن، در کشور یونان و با حضور ۲۴۱ ورزشکار زن و مرد از ۱۴ کشور جهان و در ۹ رشته ورزشی برگزار شد.
