ادموند لیتون

ادموند بلر لیتون (Edmund Blair Leighton)، (زادهٔ ۲۱ سپتامبر ۱۸۵۲ - درگذشتهٔ ۱ سپتامبر ۱۹۲۲)، نقاش انگلیسی صحنه‌های تاریخی بود و تخصصش در کشیدن صحنه‌هایی از قرون وسطی و دروان نایب‌السطنه (۱۸۱۱-۱۸۲۰) بود.

زندگی

پدر او، چارلز بلر لیتون، هنرمند بود. ابتدا در دانشگاه کالج اسکول و سپس در آکادمی سلطنتی هنر تحصیل کرد. در ۱۸۸۵ با کاترین نش ازدواج کرد و صاحب یک پسر و یک دختر شد. از ۱۸۷۸ تا ۱۹۲۰ هر ساله آثارش را در آکادمی سلطنتی به نمایش می‌گذاشت.
