زردپرهایان (Emberizidae) تیره بزرگی از پرندگان از راسته گنجشکسانان معمولا در اندازههای کوچک است که معمولا به نام «زردپره» شناخته میشوند و دانهخوار هستند و منقار مخروطی دارند و ۹ پر اولیه دارند. بیش از ۷۰ سرده در این تیره وجود دارد.
در اروپا بیشتر به نام زردپره شناخته میشوند و در امریکا به نام گنجشک امریکایی، هرچند که همخانوادهٔ نزدیک گنجشکها (تیره Passeridae) نیستند.
جنس نر آنها معمولا بزرگتر از ماده است.

The results of a recent biochemical study suggest that Melophus and Latoucheornis may be related to various members of Emberiza and perhaps should be subsumed within that genus.
