Usage

Use this rcat template in any namespace.

• This redirect category (rcat) template populates رده:Redirects from shortcuts and, when the shortcut is in main-article namespace (mainspace), then رده:Unprintworthy redirects is also populated by default. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the بنیاد ویکی‌مدیا's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in

printed versions. Aliases/shortcuts in mainspace are not suitable for a printed version. In other words, they are unprintworthy.

• Add this rcat to a redirect in the following manner:

Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the {{Redirect category shell}} template, which may be used to add to a redirect as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:

#REDIRECT [[(target page name)]]

• Use this rcat to tag any redirect that acts as a shortcut: an abbreviated link to an administrative page. See ویکی‌پدیا:میانبر for more details.

The parameter |of= or |for= can be used to specify the referent of the shortcut (e.g. to explain an acronym, since we do not use {{R from abbreviation}} except in mainspace). For example, the shortcut ویکی‌پدیا:تحقیق دست‌اول ممنوع uses |for="analysis, evaluation, interpretation, or synthesis".
