سنگهای گرسنگی
سنگهای گرسنگی (به آلمانی: Hungerstein) سنگهایی در کنار رود البه در جمهوری چک هستند که قرنهاست مردم را از خطر قحطی باخبر کرده و از گرسنگی نجات میدهند. این سنگها را با نام هانگر استون (Hunger stone) به معنای سنگهای گرسنگی هم میشناسند.
سالها پیش خطر قحطی اروپاییان را تهدید میکرد و مردم بسیاری از کشورها با معضل گرسنگی روبهرو بودند؛ همین موضوع سبب شد تا مردم چکسلواکی در صدد راه چارهای بربیایند تا دیگر هیچگاه دچار قحطی نشوند. آنها در زمان قحطی، برخی از سنگهای کنار رودخانه را حکاکی کردند؛ هدفشان از این کار نشان دادن زنگ خطری به آیندگان بود. به عبارت دیگر آنها تلاش کردند تا به نسلهای بعدی خود بگویند که اگر آب رودخانه به حدی رسید که سنگنوشتهها مشخص شد، به این معناست که قحطی بزرگی پیش رو دارند.[۱]
پژوهشها نشان میدهند که افراد مختلفی در فواصل زمانی گوناگون روی هانگر استونها حکاکی کردهاند برای مثال در سالهای ۱۴۱۷، ۱۶۱۶، ۱۷۰۷، ۱۷۴۶ ۱۷۹۰، ۱۸۰۰، ۱۸۱۱، ۱۸۳۰، ۱۸۴۲، ۱۸۶۸، ۱۸۹۲ روی سنگها نوشته شدهاست.[۲]
مردم چک سنگهای اطراف رود البه (Elbe River) را حکاکی کرده و رویشان عباراتی نوشتند تا به نسلهای بعدی هشدار بدهند. این رود از جمهوری چک سرچشمه گرفته و در اروپای مرکزی جریان مییابد.[۳]

The stone measures approximately 6 m³ and is carved with different years of drought. The oldest readable carving is from 1616, with older carvings (1417 and 1473) having been wiped out by anchoring ships during the years. The stone also features the Czech sentence „Neplač holka, nenaříkej, když je sucho, pole stříkej“ (lit. "Girl, don't weep and moan, if it's dry, water the field"), probably added in 1938.[۴] This hunger stone is one of the oldest hydrological landmarks in the Elbe river. | |
