This template produces citations for the maps of NYC borough bus routes. The parameters are the one- or two-letter bus prefixes for each borough, or the borough name itself:

• B (Brooklyn)
• Bx (The Bronx)
• M (Manhattan)
• Q (Queens)
• S (Staten Island)
• Sx (Staten Island Express Bus)

There are also options for the following regional bus systems:

• N (NICE Bus, Nassau County)
• W (Bee-Line Bus, Westchester County)

To create a citation for the service guides instead, add the number "2" to the parameter entries listed above, or add a space then the word "Notes" after the borough name.

• Bx2 or Bronx Notes (The Bronx)
• M2 or Manhattan Notes (Manhattan)
• Q2 or Queens Notes (Queens)
• S2 or Staten Island Notes (Staten Island)
• Sx2 or Staten Island Express Bus Notes (Staten Island)

Standard usage

For example, {{Cite NYC bus map|Brooklyn}} or {{Cite NYC bus map|B}} produces the following entry in the reference list:
