English: The U.S. Navy battle damage repair ship USS Zeus (ARB-4) underway near Baltimore, Maryland (USA), 18 April 1944, after completion of conversion to a battle damage repair ship. Note single 3-inch/50 caliber gun at the stern on the centerline, with a quadruple 40 millimeter Bofors mount in the superfiring position just forward of it. Also note the motor launch (instead of the usual landing craft) in the boat davits, the king post and boom forward on the starboard side. |
