متیو واترز (به انگلیسی: Matthew W. Waters) استاد تاریخ باستان و کلاسیک en:University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire است.

سابقه علمی

متیو واترز لیسانس خود را از دانشگاه نوتردام و فوق لیسانسش و دکترایش را از دانشگاه پنسیلوانیا دریافت کرد. او به عنوان استادیار تاریخ باستان و کلاسیک در سال ۲۰۰۱ به en:University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire پیوست. قسمی از وظایفش در دانشکده تاریخ است که در آن مباحث مختلف تاریخ باستان را تدریس می‌کند. زمینه دلخواه واترز، شامل ارتباط‌های آشوری-ایلامی و امپراتوری پارسی هخامنشی در هزاره اول پیش از میلاد و ارتباط‌های دوطرفه فرهنگی خاورنزدیک و جهان کلاسیک یونانی است.

آثار

او تا به حال دو کتاب نوشته و سومی در حال انعقاد قرارداد است، یک کتاب دیگر را با همکاری دیگران ویراستاری می‌کند و مقالات و بازبینی علمی (book reviews) بسیاری در زمینه تاریخ خاور شرقی و تاریخ یونان انجام داده‌است.
