Флаг Зейского района представляет собой прямоугольное голубое (лазоревое) полотнище с соотношением ширины к его длине 2:3, воспроизводящее композицию герба района: белую полосу шириной 1/5 ширины полотнища (отстоящую от нижнего края на 1/10 ширины полотнища), обременённую тремя лазоревыми снежинками, две лазоревые горы (правая впереди и ниже) с неровными белыми вершинами и склонами, обременённые жёлтым бегущим соболем.
