جمهوری خلق چین دولتی است که در سال ۱۹۱۲ و در سرزمین اصلی چین تاسیس شد و تا سال ۱۹۴۹، تا هنگامی که قدرت خود را در اثر جنگ داخلی چین از دست داد و به تایوان تبعید شد، در چین حکمرانی می‌کرد.^[۱]
