Basic usage

This template can be used to add a bar of identifiers and links to other taxonomic databases where information regarding a particular آرایه (زیست‌شناسی) can be found. Much of the information is stored on the Wikidata entry for the taxon.

Often there is nothing to configure. Simply add this to the bottom of the taxon article:

As a metadata template, the Taxonbar template should be placed after the پیوند به بیرون section and الگوهای ناوبری, right before the الگو داده‌های کتابخانه‌ای.

To remove a Wikidata taxon identifier (optional)

The identifiers listed in the table above can be removed from the bar by setting the corresponding parameter to no. This is useful when trying to keep the taxonbar on one line. Spaces are optional. There is no sense in removing too many identifiers, for example: removing plant or fungi identifiers from an animal taxon would have no effect as these parameters will not show up on an animal taxon in the first place. It is best to preview {{Taxonbar}} on the page and decide what entries provide little relevant data. Plant species will have the most entries and are most likely in need of some entries being removed if the goal is to keep the bar on one line.

Example: To remove FOC, IPNI, and AFPD, the code would look like:

Some taxon identifiers not at present in Wikidata can be added via extra parameters.

Template editing—to-do list

• Add parameters to remove individual identifiers from taxonbar. This could help the box from becoming two lines when one line is desired.
• Pull the formatter URLs from Wikidata.
• Add ability to add identifiers not listed on Wikidata.
• Add support for from= to show taxonbox as an example on pages without data, such as template documentation and userpages.
• Hide taxonbar if empty.
• Add support for other parameters.
