این الگو، فضای خالی آغاز و/یا پایانی (و نه فضای خالی میانی) یک رشته را حذف میکند. رشته باید به صورت یک پارامتر بینام به الگو وارد شود. اگر رشته دارای = باشد آنگاه پارامتر باید به صورت | 1=
این الگو را میتوانید جایگزین کنید— اگر به صورت {{جا :اصلاح }} استفاده شود که نتیجه آن یک ویکیمتن "تمیز" است.
