Photo of Jean Acker, the first wife of Rudolph Valentino, weeping after she pays her respects to her former husband. Accompanying Acker is her mother, Mrs. Martha Acker, and her sister, Edith Acker. Acker is seen on the right of the photo.
The Associated Press stamp is under the wire copy. It's somewhat hard to see but "Associated Press" can be made out of it.
A search for renewal was done under art works for the years 1953 and 1954. Another renewal search was done in periodicals for the years 1953 and 1954. There were no listings for Associated Press or for Los Angeles Times. There's no evidence copyright continues to be claimed on the photo.
