Deutsch: Braunes Haus, Brienner Strasse 45, München, früher „Adelspalais“/„Palais Barlow“, Aussenansicht, Portal mit Vorhof, Bronzetüre mit Hakenkreuzmuster, zwei Hoheitsadlern („Parteiadlern“), über dem Eingang stehen die Worte „Deutschland erwache“, Hakenkreuzflagge, usw., um 1931–1934; Nationalsozialistische Propaganda (NS-Propaganda, Nazi-Propaganda).
Das zwischen Karolinenplatz und Königsplatz gelegene Haus wurde 1828 von Jean Baptiste Métivier im Stil des Klassizismus als Adelspalais für Karl Freiherr von Lotzbeck (1786–1873) errichtet. Die Witwe von Willy Barlow (1869–1928) verkaufte die Liegenschaft für 805.864 Reichsmark am 26. Mai 1930 an die NSDAP. Deren Räume in der Schellingstraße 50 waren zu klein geworden. Dort befand sich die Parteizentrale seit 1925. Bis zur Übernahme durch die NSDAP war das Gebäude als „Palais Barlow“ oder einfach als „Adelspalais“ bekannt. „Braunes Haus“ war dann die parteioffizielle Bezeichnung des Hauses. Das Geld für den Kauf durch die NSDAP stammte von dem Industriellen Fritz Thyssen.
Nach größeren Umbauarbeiten, mit denen der Münchner Architekt Paul Ludwig Troost beauftragt wurde und deren Entwürfe von Adolf Hitler selbst bearbeitet wurden, wurde die gesamte Reichsleitung der NSDAP zu Beginn des Jahres 1931 dorthin verlegt.
Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde das Gebäude bei den Luftangriffen auf München von Fliegerbomben getroffen, erstmals in 1943 und besonders in 1945. Die Ruine wurde in 1947 abgerissen.

Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich die grosse Fahnenhalle, in der die alten Fahnen und Standarten der NSDAP. aufbewahrt werden (...)

  • The Brown House|Brown House]] (German: Braunes Haus) was the name given to the Munich mansion, built in 1828 in neo-classicism style, located between the Karolinenplatz and Königsplatz, which was purchased in 1930 for the Nazis. They converted the structure into the headquarters of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei; NSDAP). It officially opened on 1 January 1931, which is when the party leadership moved into the building. Many leading Nazis, including Adolf Hitler, maintained offices there throughout the party's existence. It was destroyed by Allied bombing raids during the Second World War in October 1943.
  • The phrase Deutschland erwache! ("Germany, awake!") was taken from the Sturmlied poem and came to be one of the most influential slogans of the NSDAP.
