quite visibly this object shows how the water level decrease over time reduced the surface of the lake in some areas more than in others.

please be aware that the used two shots were taken from different angles in the sky and so a slight shortening of the lakes extension in the northern area due to camera and not by water level effects is visible. in contrast to that, the match in the southern part is much better and the true effect that this animation is intended to show gets quite visible.
