مایکل دباغی

مایکل الیاس دباغی یا مایکل دبیکی (به انگلیسی: Michael Ellis DeBakey)‏ متولد ۱۹۰۸ در لیک چارلز در لوئیزیانا، جراح آمریکایی برجستهٔ قلب.

دباغی از پیشگامان جراحی کنارگذر شریان کرنری بود، و در سال ۱۹۵۳ نخستین عمل جراحی برداشتن شریان کاروتید (carotid endarterectomy) را با موفقیت انجام داد. او همچنین در ۱۹۵۸ نخستین عمل جراحی آنژیوپلاستی گرافتی قلبی (patch-graft angioplasty) را انجام داد.

دباغی و همکارانش بر روی ۵۰٬۰۰۰ بیمار قلبی عمل جراحی انجام داد، از جمله نظارت عمل جراحی quintuple bypass surgery بر روی بوریس یلتسین در ۱۹۹۶ میلادی.

دباغی دانش آموختهٔ دانشگاه تولین بود، و مدت زیادی ریاست کالج پزشکی بیلور را بر عهده داشت.

والدین دباغی مهاجرین لبنانی بودند. پدر مایکل، شاکر دباغی، به منظور سهولت در تلفظ، نوشتار نامشان را از dabaghi به debakey تغییر دادند.

یک مرکز پزشکی ارتشی امروز به افتخار او نامگذاری شده است. (وبگاه)

او مدت ۷۵ سال طبابت کرد، و در سال ۲۰۰۸ در سن ۱۰۰ سالگی در هیوستون درگذشت.

وی جراح محمدرضا پهلوی بود.
