ریچارد فولتس

ریچارد فولتس (به انگلیسی: Richard Foltz)‏ (۱۹۶۱) ایران شناس کانادای است. وی در شهر کلمبوس واقع در ایالت اهایو، در آمریکا متولد شد. وی دارای دکترای تاریخ و مطالعات خاور میانه از دانشگاه هاروارد است. ریچارد فولتس استاد گروه علوم دین دانشگاه کنکوردیا ی مونترال نیز می باشد و در انجا بخش ایرانشناسی را تأسیس کرد. وی تاریخ شناس مذاهب می باشد و مقاله های بسیاری در این زمینه به رشته تحریر در آورده است.

فولتس تاکید بر نقش مهم ایرانیان در تاریخ جهان می کند، به خصوص در حوزه ادیان. او همچنین در اخلاق زیست محیطی و حقوق حیوانات در اسلام و دین زرتشتی نوشته شده است.
