رصدخانه سلطنتی گرینویچ (به انگلیسی: Royal Observatory, Greenwich)در سال ۱۶۷۲ توسط پادشاه چارلز دوم ساخته شد,ودر !۰ اوت افتتاح شد.[۱] اینجا محل زندگی اخترشناس سلطنتی جان فلاستمید بود.خطی که از وسط سهپایه تلسکوپ سلطنتی میگذرد به عنوان نصفانهار مبدا شناخته میشود.
